like this: “Wooden boatbuilder, winery CEO, and author of LITTLE AND OFTEN”. If you just came here to find his net worth and this small description, no problem, we won’t be upset, but, if you want to know more about him, please scroll down 🙂
Trent is the ex-Chairman of WineAmerica & actual CEO of Bedell Cellars.
His merlot was the official red wine of Barack Obama’s 2013 Inaugural Luncheon, the first time a New York-grown wine was served at a U.S. presidential inauguration.
After his father died, in 2014, he built a wooden canoe using his tools. A documentary about his boatbuilding won the 2018 New York Emmy Award for Best Lifestyle Program.
The Preszler Woodshop gained media reach, being featured in The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Esquire, The New York, Times Robb Report, Financial Times and OUT Magazine.
In 2020, Preszler’s memoir Little and Often was published – it’s a story about building wooden boats and not only that, but his inner transformation, that lead to forgiveness and piece.
He is a successful man, and one of his canoes may cost even $100,000. It may seem a lot, but that is the effort of countless hours of carving wood, a whole lotta time for learning, and picking the best exotic wood (for example aromatic red cedar, black walnut, and Mexican ziricote).
He was educated at a one-room schoolhouse near the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and after that he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Iowa State
University and got an MS in Agricultural Economics and PhD in Horticulture, both from Cornell University.
